Frequently Asked Questions
Everything we're asked most before someone books — booking and planning, visas, payments, life on the road, and general trip logistics.
Getting Started
Can't find your answer? Our team responds within 2 hours on WhatsApp and within 12 hours by email.
Every itinerary we build is private — your own guide, driver and schedule, not a fixed departure date shared with strangers. You can travel as a couple, a family, or a small group of friends, and the pace is entirely up to you.
We can often arrange trips with just a few weeks' notice, but 2 to 3 months ahead gives the most flexibility on hotels and guides, especially during the October to March peak season. Festival-timed trips (like the Pushkar Camel Fair or Kumbh Mela) are worth booking further out, since accommodation near those events fills up early.
Send us a message through WhatsApp, email, or the contact form with your rough dates and what you'd like to see — we typically reply within 24 hours with initial ideas and questions to shape a tailored itinerary.
Yes, this is one of the most common ways we build a longer itinerary — combining Rajasthan or North India with Nepal and Bhutan, since all three countries connect well by air. Tell us how much time you have and we'll build a route around it.
Yes — every itinerary on this site is a starting point we adapt, not a fixed script. Tell us your dates, interests and pace, and we'll draft a route around them, whether that means combining two of our existing tours or building something from scratch.
Yes, and this is one of the trips worth booking furthest ahead, since accommodation near major festivals fills up early. See our Festival Tours page for the events we plan around most often, or tell us the date and we'll confirm what's realistic.
Visas & Documents

Most international travellers can apply for the Indian e-Visa online before departure. Requirements vary by nationality, so we recommend confirming current rules for your passport before booking flights — we're happy to advise on this as part of planning your trip.
Requirements are set by the Indian government and can change, so we always recommend checking the official e-Visa portal for your specific nationality before applying. In general, applicants need a passport with at least six months' validity, a digital passport-style photo, and a scanned copy of their passport's bio page.
No — visa applications are your own responsibility and applied for directly through the official government portal, not through us. We're happy to point first-time visitors toward the correct process and confirm what your itinerary requires, but we don't process visas on a traveller's behalf.
Pricing, Payments & Cancellation
Can't find your answer? Our team responds within 2 hours on WhatsApp and within 12 hours by email.
Every quote we send spells out exactly what's included — accommodation, private car and driver, guides where relevant, and any entry fees or activities in the itinerary. We don't add unexplained costs after you've agreed a quote.
A 30% advance secures your booking and lets us begin hotel arrangements. Once hotels are confirmed, a further 20% is due, with the remaining 50% balance payable 45 days before your trip starts. Full details are on our Cancellation Policy & Terms page.
Cancellation charges are tiered by how close to departure you cancel — 20% of the tour cost at 60+ days out, 30% at 30–60 days, and 50% at 15–30 days, plus the cost of any non-refundable bookings already made. See our full Cancellation Policy & Terms page for exact terms, including peak-season rules.
Yes, a 2% bank/gateway charge applies to card payments, which is added to your final invoice. This is disclosed upfront in your quote, not added as a surprise later.
Guides, Drivers & Vehicles

Yes — every guide and driver we assign speaks fluent English, and our office team also covers French, German and Spanish if that's more comfortable for planning conversations before you travel.
We work directly with the guides and drivers we assign — people we've used before and know personally, not a subcontractor booked the day before your trip starts.
It depends on your group size — we run everything from sedans and SUVs for couples and small families to tempo travellers and coaches for larger groups. See our Car Rental & Fleet page for the full range.
You'll have a direct WhatsApp line to our office throughout your trip, not just before you book, so a delayed flight or a hotel issue can be handled directly and quickly rather than waiting on a call centre.

October through March is the most comfortable window for most of North India and Rajasthan, though the right season genuinely depends on which region you're visiting — Kerala, Kashmir and the Himalayas each run on their own calendar. See our Best Time to Visit guide for a full month-by-month breakdown.
Both — alongside our India itineraries, we regularly build trips into Nepal and Bhutan, either as standalone journeys or combined with an India leg for travellers who want to see more of the wider region in one trip.
Yes — let us know when you enquire and we'll factor it into hotel choices, restaurant recommendations, and the itinerary's pace, rather than assuming a one-size-fits-all trip.
