7 Days Assam With Wildlife (Kaziranga & Shillong) Itinerary

1. DAY 01: ARRIVAL GUWAHATI
   
   On Arrival we will receive you at Guwahati Rly. Station / Airport . Transfer to Hotel,.Check in , Evening sunset cruise ( on direct payment ) Overnight at Guwhahati.
2. DAY 02 GUWAHATI -KAZIRANGA
   
   Morning after an early breakfast proceed to Kaziranga National Park (184 km/04 hours) The national park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a large park covering an approximate area of 429.93 sq. km. Arrive Kaziranga and check in at the Jungle Resort. Afternoon visit Kaziranga National Orchid and Biodiversity Park which is largest orchid park in the Northeast belt of India. The park has multiplied the glory of the Kaziranga in many folds. The Orchid Park boasts of having more than 500 varieties of wild orchids, 132 species of sour fruits and leafy vegetables, 46 species of bamboo, 12 species of cane and many other plants along with various species of local fishes. Also enjoy a cultural program that is organized for the visitors. Return to the Hotel. Overnight at the Jungle Resort..
3. DAY 3: KAZIRANGA- SHILLONG
   
   Early Morning leave for Elephant Safari (one-hour ride) at Kaziranga for an exhilarating jungle experience in the tropical semi-evergreen forests, with rocky landscapes and tall thickets grass. The Jungle is the habitat of the One-Horned rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger, Asian elephant, wild water buffalo and swamp deer are collectively known as ‘Big Five’ of Kaziranga. Small mammals include the rare hispid hare, Indian gray mongoose, small Indian mongooses, large Indian civet, small Indian civets, Bengal fox, golden jackal, sloth bear, Chinese pangolin, Indian pangolins, hog badger, Chinese ferret badgers, and particolored flying squirrels. Kaziranga’s rivers are also home to the endangered Ganges dolphin. Return to the Jungle Resort for breakfast. and leave for a Jeep Safari After an early lunch, check out into the Kaziranga and leave for Shillong .( 320 km – 06 hours) Reach Shillong and check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel, Shillong .
4. DAY 4: SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJEE
   
   After breakfast, start your journey towards Cherrapunjee (64 km – 03 hours) the journey is dotted with lush green mountains and numerous waterfalls falling all over on route to Cherapunjeee. Upon arrival at Cherrapunjee, visit Mawkdok, Dympep Valley View Point, Seven Sisters Falls, the Amazing Eco Park and Arwah Cave. Overnight stay in the hotel at Cherrapunjee.
5. DAY 5: CHERRAPUNJEE – MAWLYNNONG – DAWKI – SHILLONG
   
   Morning after breakfast, start your road journey to Mawlynnong (37 km – 01 hours and 25 minutes) Mawlynnong was awarded the prestigious tag of Cleanest Village in Asia in 2003. Visit Root Bridge & Bamboo Bridge. After Mawlynnong, you will start your journey to border town of Dawki, a hidden paradise. The driver will keep getting you closer and closer to the Bangladesh plains which you had first spotted from Mawlynnong Village. Umngot River in Dawki is crystal clear & is considered one the cleanest rivers in India. You can enjoy boat ride in the river. Later in the evening return to Shillong (105 km – 03 hours and 40 minutes) On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel
6. DAY 6: SHILLONG -GUWAHATI
   
   After breakfast visit Donbosco museum , wards lake, cathedral church,shillong peak,elephant falls, police bazaar ,Drive to Guwahati over night at Guwahati. Overnight at resort
7. DAY 7: GUWAHATI
   
   Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport. Tour Terminates.
