14 Days in Gods on Own Country – Kerala Itinerary

1. Day 01: Cochin Arrival.
   
   On arrival at Airport, you will be received by our representative/ driver and assisted to your hotel. Overnight at Cochin.
2. Day 02: Cochin – Thodupuzha (Dewalokam) drive.
   
   Morning breakfast at hotel and city tour, the sightseeing shows you the prominent landmark of Cochin viz. Jewish Synagogue constructed in 1568. This is the oldest synagogue in the Commonwealth. Known for mid 18th century hand painted willow pattered floor tiles from China, ancient scripts on copper plates etc. Visit the “Dutch Palace” with its wonderful murals depicting the entire story of the Ramayana and Mahabharata on its walls.Afternoon drive to Thodupuzha, on arrival check into Dewalokam Home stay for 02 nights.
3. Day 03: Dewalokam.
   
   Activities like Yoga 7:30 am to 8:30 am, Cooking Demo at 6:00 pm, Spice Walk, Village Walk, Forest Walk (Nov-April)/Waterfall Visit (July – Nov).
4. Day 04: Dewalokam – Munnar drive.
   
   After breakfast drive to Munnar, on arrival check into hotel for 03 nights stay. This is where you fill your holidays with quiet moments at 1600 meters above sea level. Relaxing within the cool stillness of thirty odd estates fanning out across the expanse of the hills. Overnight at hotel in Munnar.
5. Day 05: Munnar.
   
   Breakfast at hotel and your visit Includes Pothamedu-which offers an excellent view of Tea, coffee and cardamom plantations; Devikulam-an idyllic hill station with its velvet lawns, exotic flora and fauna; Pallivasal-the venue of the first Hydro Electric Project in Kerala. Overnight at hotel.
6. Day 06: Munnar.
   
   Day free for on own. OR
   Optional: An excursion to Kolukkumalai Tea Estate by Jeep. Overnight at hotel.
7. Day 07: Munnar – Thekkady drive.
   
   After Breakfast, proceed to Thekkady. On arrival by noon, check in at the hotel. The most renowned destination is the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary at Thekkady. Here is the natural habitat of Elephant, tiger, bison, spotted and samba deer, gaur, etc. The sanctuary is open throughout the year. Evening Game viewing by motorized boat at Periyar Lake. Overnight at the Hotel.
8. Day 08: Thekkday.
   
   Day free for on own. OR Optional activities. Half day Bamboo Rafting in Periyar / Elephant Program (1 hour Elephant ride / Elephant Bath & Shower / Timber Dragging / Photo Session / Feeding / tea/ Coffee)
9. Day 09: Thekkady – Kumarakom drive.
   
   Morning after breakfast, drive to Kumarkom and check in at hotel, for 01 night stay. The panoramic backwaters here offer an ideal retreat to enjoy nature at its best. Afternoon visit the bird sanctuary here, which is spread across 14 acres, is a favorite haunt of migratory birds and an ornithologist’s paradise. Vembanad Lake: The beautiful Vembanad Lake in Kumarakom is famous for its exceptional scenic beauty, lush green surroundings and exciting boat cruises. Over night stay in Kumarkom.
10. Day 10: Kumarakom – Alleppey drive (House Boat).
    
    After breakfast at the Resort, transfer to the Kerala Traditional House Boat.(Kettuvallam) The houseboats of Kerala offer exquisite holidays experiences. Every Kettuvallam (house boat) has a drawing cum dining room; a bath attached bedroom, sit-out, sundeck and kitchenette. The water-web slowly open ups at its secrets to you, lush paddy field, pregnant palms, singing Siberian ducks. This will be your memorable experience. House boat will cruise through the Vembanad Lake and canals to Alleppey. Visit includes Pathiramanal, Champakulam Church, R & L Block Kayal etc. Overnight at the House Boat.
11. Day 11: Alleppey – Kovalam / Varkala drive.
    
    After your breakfast, disembark from House boat and proceed to Kovalam. Upon arrival check-in to your hotel. Later enjoy sightseeing in Trivandrum, visit Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple, Napier museum and Sri Chitra Art Gallery and relax on the beautiful beaches. Overnight at Kovalam. / Leisure and overnight at in Varkala.
12. Day 12: Kovalam / Varkala.
    
    Day at leisure to relax on the beach. Overnight at hotel.
13. Day 13: Kovalam / Varkala.
    
    Day at leisure to relax on the beach. Overnight at hotel.
14. Day 14: Kovalam / Varkala – Trivandrum & Onward Journey.
    
    After breakfast departure transfer to Trivandrum airport for onward journey.
